Various pages did not display the correct action run list tooltips. Fix
those tooltips like here on the `/pulls` page:
`ctx.Repo.Permission` is the zero value outside a repository route, so
on `/pulls`, `/issues`, `/notifications/subscriptions` and the dashboard
repo list the commit status "Details" link was always stripped. The live
job status is looked up from that target URL, so running checks also
rendered as a static pending dot instead of a spinner.
Resolve the Actions unit permission per repository instead.
Also drops the releases page's gate on *loading* statuses, which hid
external CI results from anyone without Actions read; it now loads them
and hides only the URL, like every other page.

The dashboard activity feed was paginated with `[ui.user]
REPO_PAGING_NUM`
instead of `[ui] FEED_PAGING_NUM`.
The wrong setting was picked up when the page size was hoisted into a
local
variable in https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/34994, most likely
copied
from the `dashboardRepoList` block a few lines above. `REPO_PAGING_NUM`
should
only control repository lists.
Fixes https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/38925
Fixes five N+1 / O(n) query patterns found across common user paths.
Each uses a bulk query that already existed elsewhere in the codebase.
| Location | Problem | Introduced in |
| -------------------------------- |
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
| ------------- |
| `IssueList.LoadIsRead` | `.In("issue_id")` missing its arg — xorm
generates `WHERE 0=1`, so `IsRead` is **never** set; every issue always
appears unread | #29515 |
| `ParseCommitsWithStatus` | `GetLatestCommitStatus` called once per
commit (O(n) queries on commit list / PR commits tab) | #33605 |
| `getReleaseInfos` (release list) | `GetLatestCommitStatus` called once
per release for CI badges | #29149 |
| User milestone dashboard | O(n×m) nested loop matching milestones to
repos | #26300 |
| `findCodeComments` (PR diff) | `LoadResolveDoer` + `LoadReactions`
called per inline comment — up to ~150 queries on a PR with 50 comments
| #20821 |

The `Repository` struct in `services/context/repo.go` embedded
`access_model.Permission` anonymously, causing all permission methods to
be promoted directly onto `Repository`. This made it unclear at call
sites whether a method belonged to `Repository` itself or to its
embedded `Permission`.
### Changes
- **`services/context/repo.go`**: Replace anonymous
`access_model.Permission` with named field `Permission
access_model.Permission`
- **49 files** updated to route permission method calls through the
named field:
```go
// Before
ctx.Repo.IsAdmin()
ctx.Repo.CanWrite(unit.TypeCode)
ctx.Repo.CanReadIssuesOrPulls(isPull)
slices.ContainsFunc(unitTypes, ctx.Repo.CanWrite)
// After
ctx.Repo.Permission.IsAdmin()
ctx.Repo.Permission.CanWrite(unit.TypeCode)
ctx.Repo.Permission.CanReadIssuesOrPulls(isPull)
slices.ContainsFunc(unitTypes, ctx.Repo.Permission.CanWrite)
```
Methods defined directly on `*Repository` (`CanWriteToBranch`,
`CanCreateBranch`, etc.) are unchanged.

Fixes: https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/21045
- Move heatmap data loading from synchronous server-side rendering to
async client-side fetch via dedicated JSON endpoints
- Dashboard and user profile pages no longer block on the expensive
heatmap DB query during HTML generation
- Use compact `[[timestamp,count]]` JSON format instead of
`[{"timestamp":N,"contributions":N}]` to reduce payload size
- Public API (`/api/v1/users/{username}/heatmap`) remains unchanged
- Heatmap rendering is unchanged, still shows a spinner as before, which
will now spin a litte bit longer.

1. correctly parse git protocol's "OldCommit NewCommit RefName" line, it
should be explicitly split by space
2. add missing "return" in CreatePullRequest
3. add comments for "/user.keys" and "/user.gpg" outputs
4. trim space for the "commit status context name" to follow the same
behavior of git_model.NewCommitStatus
Similar to #34544, this PR changes the `opts` argument in
`SearchRepositoryByName()` to be passed by value instead of by pointer,
as its mutations do not escape the function scope and are not used
elsewhere. This simplifies reasoning about the function and avoids
unnecessary pointer usage.
This insight emerged during an initial attempt to refactor
`RenderUserSearch()`, which currently intermixes multiple concerns.

The pagination on the user dashboard sounds unnecessary, this will
change it to a prev/next buttons. For instances with around `10 million`
records in the action table, this option affects how the user dashboard
is loaded on first visit.

Two SQLs are very slow when `action` table have over 5M records.
```
database duration=1.8881s db.sql="SELECT created_unix DIV 900 * 900 AS timestamp, count(user_id) as contributions FROM `action` WHERE user_id=? AND act_user_id=? AND (created_unix > ?) GROUP BY timestamp ORDER BY timestamp"
database duration=1.5408s db.sql="SELECT count(*) FROM `action` WHERE (user_id = ?) AND (is_deleted = ?)"
```
This will cache the count for the first loading or when the activities
changed.
In history (from some legacy frameworks), both `:name` and `name` are
supported as path path name, `:name` is an alias to `name`.
To make code consistent, now we should only use `name` but not `:name`.
Also added panic check in related functions to make sure the name won't
be abused in case some downstreams still use them.
Replace #26661, fix#25979
Not perfect, but usable and much better than before. Since it is quite
complex, I am not quite sure whether there would be any regression, if
any, I will fix in first time.
I have tested the related pages many times: issue list, milestone issue
list, project view, user issue list, org issue list.
1. add backend support for filtering "poster" and "assignee"
* due to the limits, there is no frontend support at the moment
2. rewrite TS code without jquery, now there are 14 jQuery files left:
This PR removes (almost) all path tricks, and introduces "renderhelper"
package.
Now we can clearly see the rendering behaviors for comment/file/wiki,
more details are in "renderhelper" tests.
Fix#31411 , fix#18592, fix#25632 and maybe more problems. (ps: fix
#32608 by the way)
Fix#26685
If a commit status comes from Gitea Actions and the user cannot access
the repo's actions unit (the user does not have the permission or the
actions unit is disabled), a 404 page will occur after clicking the
"Details" link. We should hide the "Details" link in this case.

This PR only does "renaming":
* `Route` should be `Router` (and chi router is also called "router")
* `Params` should be `PathParam` (to distingush it from URL query param, and to match `FormString`)
* Use lower case for private functions to avoid exposing or abusing
When read the code: `pager.AddParam(ctx, "search", "search")`, the
question always comes: What is it doing? Where is the value from? Why
"search" / "search" ?
Now it is clear: `pager.AddParamIfExist("search", ctx.Data["search"])`
just some refactoring bits towards replacing **util.OptionalBool** with
**optional.Option[bool]**

Since `modules/context` has to depend on `models` and many other
packages, it should be moved from `modules/context` to
`services/context` according to design principles. There is no logic
code change on this PR, only move packages.
- Move `code.gitea.io/gitea/modules/context` to
`code.gitea.io/gitea/services/context`
- Move `code.gitea.io/gitea/modules/contexttest` to
`code.gitea.io/gitea/services/contexttest` because of depending on
context
- Move `code.gitea.io/gitea/modules/upload` to
`code.gitea.io/gitea/services/context/upload` because of depending on
context
Clarify when "string" should be used (and be escaped), and when
"template.HTML" should be used (no need to escape)
And help PRs like #29059 , to render the error messages correctly.
Fixes#26548
This PR refactors the rendering of markup links. The old code uses
`strings.Replace` to change some urls while the new code uses more
context to decide which link should be generated.
The added tests should ensure the same output for the old and new
behaviour (besides the bug).
We may need to refactor the rendering a bit more to make it clear how
the different helper methods render the input string. There are lots of
options (resolve links / images / mentions / git hashes / emojis / ...)
but you don't really know what helper uses which options. For example,
we currently support images in the user description which should not be
allowed I think:
